Our driver/guide will pick you up from your Marrakech accommodation to begin the 4 Days Luxury Desert Tour from Marrakech.
The first stop is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’tichka pass at 2,260m. After visiting the historic kasbah, we’ll have lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we’ll drive to Ouarzazate, stopping at the Atlas Film Studios for photos, then continuing to the town center to admire the Taourirt Kasbah.
Thereafter, we’ll head to Kalaa M’gouna and Boumalne Dades for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
we’ll drive towards Tinghir, passing through Boumalne du Dades and stopping for a panoramic view of the Dades Valley. We’ll then continue on to the Todra Gorges via Imider and Tinghir, making several photo stops along the way to admire the impressive canyon landscapes.
Upon arrival at the Todra Gorges, we’ll have the opportunity to explore the narrow valleys on foot and take in the spectacular scenery.
In the afternoon, we’ll continue to Tinjdad for a lunch break, then on to Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops. From there, we’ll head to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, also known as the Merzouga Dunes.
At the edge of the dunes, we’ll go on a 1.5-hour camel trek to witness the sunset in an atmosphere of laughter and adventure. As we ride in silence, with only the sound of the camel’s footsteps on the sand, we’ll continue to the desert camp for an overnight stay in a traditional nomad tent.
A delicious dinner and Berber drum entertainment will precede a comfortable night in the well-equipped desert camp, surrounded by the tranquility of the middle of the desert.
On the third day of our 4 Days Luxury Desert Tour from Marrakech, we are treated to a spectacular morning in the middle of the Sahara Desert. As the sun rises, you’ll witness one of the most stunning sunrises you’ve ever seen from the top of a dune near the camp, surrounded by the boundless desert landscape. This unique scenic experience is definitely worth waking up early for.
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll have time to freshen up before we take the camels back to Merzouga. We’ll then explore the Erg Chebbi, a vast expanse of sandy desert that includes the impressive Big Dune of Morocco. Our route will follow the old Paris-Dakar rally road, leading us to the black desert.
Next, we’ll stop at a viewpoint to take in the full panorama of the Erg Chebbi. Continuing on, we’ll reach the Kamilia Village, home to a community of dark-skinned people originally from Mali. Here, we’ll enjoy a relaxing cup of tea while listening to a performance of the local Gnawa music.
We’ll make one more stop at Mefis, an abandoned village where you can discover remnants of lead and other mineral mines from the French colonial era. Along the way, we may even encounter a nomadic family living in tents, providing a chance to learn about their secrets and practices.
In the afternoon, we’ll transfer you to your accommodation, leaving you free time to explore the town or enjoy the dunes near the hotel and witness the sunset. Dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel will complete the day.
we go on the final day of our 4 Days Luxury Desert Tour from Marrakech, heading north through the Tafilalet palm grove – the largest in the country. Along the 20-kilometer road, you’ll be surrounded by thousands of towering palm trees.
Our journey continues towards the Ziz Valley, the source of the water that sustains this lush palm grove. We’ll stop at a high vantage point to take in the majestic views of the valley and the town of Aoufous.
Next, we’ll make a stop in the city of Midelt, located in the heart of the Atlas Mountains. Here, you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch and take a break.
In the afternoon, we’ll drive through the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where we may be lucky enough to spot some Barbary Apes by the roadside.
The last place we’ll visit is the city of Ifrane, situated at an altitude of 1,630 meters on the northwestern slopes of the Middle Atlas. With its broad avenues, excellent cleanliness, grassy areas, gardens, and Swiss-style architecture, Ifrane feels out of place in Morocco, earning it the nickname “the Moroccan Switzerland.” It’s even home to an important ski resort, Michlifen.
Around 6 pm, we’ll arrive in Fes, where we’ll transfer you to your accommodation, marking the end of our 4 days desert tour from Marrakech to Fes.
