DAY1Full Day in Fes with a Local Guide
Discover Fes, the spiritual city of Morocco: the Al Karaouine Mosque and University, the tanneries and the Nejjarine Fountain.
Night in an authentic riad in the heart of the medina.

DAY2Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Errachidia – Erfoud – Merzouga
Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco, and the largest cedar forest of the country near Azrou, home of the Barbary macaques.
Through Timhdit, Zaida, Midelt and the palm valley of Errachidia to Erfoud, the capital of fossils, and Merzouga for the night in a hotel near the dunes.

DAY3Erg Chebbi – Khamlia – Nomads – Camel Trek to the Desert Camp
Explore the Erg Chebbi: Khamlia village, a nomad family and an old mine near the Algerian border, then a local lunch with Berber pizza.
In the afternoon, a 1.5-hour camel trek over the dunes for the sunset to your luxury desert camp, with dinner and Berber music.
Sahara Eden Camp, or similar
Private tent with a comfortable bed and a private bathroom with a hot shower. Dinner and breakfast included, with Berber music around the campfire under the stars. We never use basic camps or shared bathrooms.
DAY4Merzouga – Rissani – Tinghir – Todra Gorge – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate
Rissani and its market, old center of the caravan trade to Timbuktu, then the oasis of Tinghir and the Todra Gorge, 300 m high.
Lunch, the Dades Valley, a rose cooperative in Kelaat M'Gouna and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, with a visit of the Atlas Studios.

Explore Ait Ben Haddou, the queen of kasbahs, then the Kasbah of Telouet, palace of the Glaoui pasha.
Cross the Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260 m) with panoramic stops and lunch, and arrive in Marrakech for the night in a traditional riad.

DAY6Full Day in Marrakech with a Local Guide

Before You Go
- Bring layers: nights can be cold in the mountains and the desert, even in summer (and very cold from November to February).
- Pack sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen and a scarf to protect you from sun and sand.
- For mosques and holy places, dress modestly (shoulders and knees covered). Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca is the only one open to non-Muslims.
- Wear comfortable shoes for the medinas, gorges and kasbahs.
- Bring a small bag for the desert night; your big luggage stays safe in the car.
- Have some cash in dirhams for lunches, drinks and small shopping; card payment is rare in villages.
- Roads in the mountains are winding: tell us if you get car sick and we will stop more often.
- Mobile network works in most places, and Wi-Fi is available in the hotels.
