You’ll appreciate two nights’ convenience, total with supper and breakfast – one night beneath starry skies at a Merzouga Camp settled inside the heart of the Sahara Leave, after an enchanting sunset camel ride. The second night will be spent amidst the picturesque scenery of the Dades Valley, at a comfortable lodge.
Begin the tour as your English-speaking driver/guide will collect you as early as 7am in winter or 8am in summer, allowing ample time to reach the Erg Chebbi dunes for a spectacular sunset camel ride. Your 3-day Fes to Marrakech desert adventure will take you across the plains of Saiss towards the Middle Atlas Cedar forests, where you may spot Barbary apes.
You’ll stop for lunch in Midelt before continuing along the Ziz River past towering palm trees and fortified Kasbahs to Erfoud and Merzouga. Once you’ve settled into your Sahara Desert camp, enjoy dinner under the stars with local nomad entertainment.
Start your day with an early sunrise camel ride, then meet your guide in Merzouga. Today’s drive will showcase one breathtaking scene after another, including the stunning Tinghir oasis. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to take a walk along the Todgha riverbank, visit Berber villages, and learn about the local way of life. Continue your exploration to the magnificent Todgha Canyons, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch at a local cafe.
In the afternoon, drive along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” to the Dades Valley, where you’ll arrive at your charming boutique guesthouse. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the Dades Valley lodge.
You may visit one of the local Rosewater cooperatives and learn how the inhabitants prepare rose-scented perfumes using distilled rose water.
Continuing on, we’ll pass through the Skoura oasis, famous for its date palm trees, before reaching Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Here, you’ll enjoy lunch prior to visiting this UNESCO World Heritage site, which has served as a set for numerous Hollywood movies, fashion shoots, and commercials. The well-preserved Kasbah consists of various kasbahs packed together, appearing as a single unit.
In the afternoon, we begin our descent through the Atlas Mountains, passing Tizi Ntichka Pass and various Berber villages where houses are built with stones and mud. Life here seems unchanged for centuries, with many locals still working as shepherds.
Late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Marrakech, where your driver will take you to your riad or hotel, concluding your 3 Day from Fes To Marrakech desert tour.
